Janine Eshuis | Contemporary Artist | Beeldend Kunstenaar
 
Landscapes, views, memories, colors and traces; Janine Eshuis collects physical and mental finds.
These ‘objets-trouves’ are at first glance everyday finds and observations, but for Janine they are ‘voyages of discovery’. Unlimited sources of inspiration to catch simplicity, beauty and silence on linen, clay or in installations. 

Her work shows series of abstract landscapes inspired by walks around the Waddensea and through the emptiness of the countryside. Endless beaches, salt marshes and skies with innumerable shades of gray and the abundance of tightly plowed fields with heavy oily soils, that change color and intensity every hour, are captured by Janine in her ‘clay paintings’. Next to studies on paper and works on linen, she is working on a selection of minimalistic clay sculptures shaped by hand.

Janine Eshuis (1966) is educated at the AKI ArtEZ Academy of Arts & Design / Enschede / The Netherlands (Bachelor Fine Arts/2011). She also studied at the Wellington Art Academy. Her work can be seen in galleries, museums and art fairs. She currently lives and works in Diepenheim (The Netherlands).
